ASTON OTONITY – Someone Stop Her! is starts with a simple premise about an ordinary man named Gangchan who is bothered by his neighbor, a heavy smoker, but the situation takes a drastic turn into a wild comedy when he ends up becoming deeply involved in his neighbor’s life. Below is a synopsis and a link to the Someone Stop Her! Chapter 118 English Translation.

Korean comics first emerged under Japanese influence during the colonial period. However, after independence, Korea adopted the left-to-right reading direction, in line with the Hangeul writing system.

This choice was not merely technical but part of an effort to strengthen Korean identity. The popularity of manhwa skyrocketed in the mid-2010s, alongside the development of digital platforms and through webtoons.

The manhwa industry, especially the webtoon sector, has strict regulations regarding physical violence. That is why we often see knives or sharp weapons with blurred parts or replaced by black shapes, to ensure that the content remains safe for younger readers.

Very popular themes in Korea include reincarnation, beauty, and social status—a reflection of competitive Korean society.

The main difference between novels and manhwa lies in their format: novels are text-based (written) and rely on the reader’s imagination, while manhwa are full-color South Korean comic books. Manhwa typically feature more visually striking action scenes, better-developed characters, and more thrilling endings than their novel counterparts.

Currently, manhwa is very popular in its digital, full-color, vertically-scrolled format (webtoon), read on cell phones or computers.

Spoiler Someone Stop Her! Chapter 118

*Someone Stop Her!* focuses in detail on the evolving dynamics of the relationship between Gangchan (the male protagonist) and Seoyoung (his manipulative new neighbor), which later develops into an adult harem story involving other female characters.

Gangchan is a 25-year-old man who is often at a disadvantage because of his overly innocent appearance or baby face. His life changes completely after Seoyoung moves into the apartment next door. At first, Seoyoung simply asks permission to use the bathroom, claiming that the facilities in her unit aren’t ready yet.

However, Seoyoung gradually takes extreme advantage of Gangchan’s kindness. She starts coming in without permission, bringing her friends over to party, taking over the living room, and even eating Gangchan’s food supplies. This made Gangchan feel stressed and alienated in his own home.

The comedic climax—and the turning point in their relationship—occurred when Gangchan came home and found an utterly absurd situation: Seoyoung was trapped under his bed. Seoyoung, who was either looking for something or hiding at the time, couldn’t move out because the space was too narrow.
