The Punisher: One Last Kill
Marvel Studios is reportedly preparing a sequel to The Punisher: One Last Kill, with the possibility of changing its format to either a movie or a series. The project has the potential to offer Frank Castle a new solo adventure after the story in that Special Presentation led him to a change in his mission, which now focuses on fighting crime.
According to insider Daniel Richtman, Marvel is currently “deciding whether to make it a series or a movie.” However, the report has not yet been accompanied by an official announcement from the studio. Since the format is still under consideration, there is no certainty yet regarding the scope of the story or how the sequel will continue the journey of the character played by Jon Bernthal.
One Last Kill focuses on Frank’s trauma following the murder of his family and his inability to break free from his quest for revenge. However, the story’s ending takes a different turn. Frank begins to use his abilities to protect people targeted by criminals, so his actions are no longer driven solely by revenge. This transformation sets the stage for his appearance in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
In addition, there are rumors that the Punisher character will return to the big screen in the movie *Avengers: Secret Wars*. However, this news remains just a rumor. What is clear is that, given the success of the Punisher’s appearance following his comeback in the MCU, Marvel Studios seems eager to continue featuring this character in the right projects.
