Cortis Surpasses 4.1 Million Sales

According to the latest data from the Circle Chart covering the period of September 6–12, CORTIS's album "GREENGREEN" has surpassed the 4.1 million total sales mark.

Among K-pop albums released in South Korea this year, only two have crossed the 4-million threshold: BTS's "ARIRANG" and CORTIS's "GREENGREEN."

The EP got off to a spectacular start, selling 2,313,291 copies in its first week alone. This figure represented nearly five times the sales volume of their previous release over the same period (430,000 copies), highlighting the rapid rise of this rookie group.

Interest in the album remained strong well beyond its initial release. "GREENGREEN" hit the 3-million sales mark in July—just 11 weeks after its launch—before racking up another million sales over the following two months.

The album's sustained success is partly due to its music: the title track "REDRED," along with B-sides such as "YoungCreatorCrew," "ACAI," and "Blue Lips," garnered attention thanks to their unique sound.

CORTIS also took an innovative approach to physical releases, moving beyond traditional album formats to offer a variety of merchandise, including a vinyl record, lip balm, dice, and a "CORTIS Ball."

The group's growing international fan base also fueled the album's momentum. "GREENGREEN" debuted at number three on the Billboard 200, marking one of the fastest entries into the Top 3 for a K-pop group (excluding short-term projects). According to the latest Billboard charts, the EP has remained on the Billboard 200 for 18 consecutive weeks. The success of "GREENGREEN" also boosted interest in CORTIS's debut EP, "COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES." That album sold approximately one million additional copies in 2026 alone, bringing its total sales to nearly 2.3 million units.

CORTIS also maintained its momentum thanks to a busy schedule of global activities.

The group recently wrapped up its first headlining tour, the "2026 CORTIS TOUR," with final shows in Yokohama, Japan. This tour marked their first series of headlining concerts and took the five members to South Korea, North America, and Japan. Earlier in the tour, all seven scheduled North American shows sold out immediately after tickets went on sale.

The group also made its debut at Chicago's Lollapalooza festival in July, performing alongside top international artists. Additionally, CORTIS released the track "MOTION (feat. Juicy J)" on July 31 and expanded the "GREENGREEN" album with two extra tracks in August.

The group is not slowing down after the end of its first tour. Its activities in Japan will continue with an exclusive TV broadcast of the "2026 CORTIS TOUR IN JAPAN" concert, scheduled for October 31, while the expanded version of "GREENGREEN" is also the subject of a digital promotional campaign in the country.

CORTIS has also been confirmed to perform during the 2026 Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend in October, further strengthening their growing international presence.

Meanwhile, BIGHIT MUSIC recently provided an update on measures taken to protect the members' privacy and rights, announcing new legal action following an intrusion at the group's residence in July.
