Evan Shares His Stories in the Aalbum Death of Me on Music Performance

--

ASTON OTONITY – EVAN has released a performance video for “Death of Me,” the title track of his debut solo mini-album. The video went live on September 15 on the HYBE Labels YouTube channel. The video shifts between a series of scenes, opening with rows of stage lights in the background before transitioning to a dimly lit room, a white backdrop, and a full stage, with his styling changing to match each scene.

The choreography combines tight, precise movements with a powerful sense of rhythm. According to his agency, Belift Lab, EVAN personally contributed creative ideas to the dance routine, particularly for the sections performed in sync with the backup dancers.

*DEATH OF ME* has performed exceptionally well since its release. The album ranked second on Japan’s Oricon Daily Album Chart and entered the UK Official Charts’ download and sales charts.

Furthermore, the album topped the iTunes album charts in 11 countries and regions, with first-week sales exceeding 500,000 copies. EVAN will perform this song on SBS M’s *The Show* on September 15 and on MBC M and MBC every1’s *Show Champion* on September 16.

Meanwhile, EVAN left ENHYPEN in March and remains under Belift Lab. He launched his solo career in June with the single “Ride or Die” and released his album *DEATH OF ME* on September 7.

EVAN performed this song live on the stage of MBC’s *Show! Music Core* on September 12, 2026. Other stage performances can be viewed via the 4K FanCam footage from the September 10, 2026, episode of *M COUNTDOWN*.

EVAN also performed this high-energy song live during an intimate vocal session on the Genius Open Mic stage, which was released on September 11, 2026.

With the release of his debut mini-album *DEATH OF ME* on September 7, 2026, EVAN (에반) demonstrated a remarkable leap in his career and artistic growth. As a solo artist, his transformation and achievements in this comeback are particularly significant in several respects.

According to a Yonhap News Agency report on Monday, the mini-album marks Evan’s first EP. Previously known as Heeseung, he left the idol group ENHYPEN in March to pursue a solo music career.

Evan released his debut digital single, “Ride or Die,” prior to the release of his mini-album *Death of Me*. He described the album as a mirror, making him feel as though he were facing himself.

“This album contains honest, unfiltered stories about my desire to keep moving forward and achieve more, even though I’m afraid of what lies ahead,” he said.

Evan was directly involved in the production of *Death of Me*, including composing the music and writing the lyrics for nearly all the songs on the album. Ahead of the release of his debut EP, Evan shared his experience of undergoing cancer treatment as a child and how that experience changed his perspective on life.
