ASTON OTONITY – Jang Ki Yong and Oh Jung Se have been officially announced as the lead actors in MBC’s new drama titled “Law of Lines,” which is scheduled to air in the first half of 2027. “Drakor” is short for “Korean Drama,” referring to television series or web series produced in South Korea in the Korean language. Popular globally as part of the Hallyu (Korean Wave), drakor is known for its high production quality, diverse storylines, and captivating performances that appeal to a wide audience.

Korean dramas offer a realistic portrayal of the social life of their society through dramas, films, and television programs—all forms of mass media. One example is the emphasis on the concept of beauty in every drama series.

This encompasses both physical beauty and inner beauty—such as good behavior, polite speech, and a caring attitude toward others. Koreans believe that beauty is not limited to physical appearance alone but must also play an important role in social life within the surrounding community.

Korean dramas are an art form originating in South Korea, a culture that has spread not only within South Korea but also to nearly every corner of the world, including Indonesia.

Korean dramas come in a variety of genres, such as action, historical, school, medical, legal, and even horror-comedy. Although most dramas contain romantic elements and deeply emotional themes, some may also feature tragedy or themes related to everyday life.

“Law of Lines” tells the story of Tak Do Il, an ordinary bank employee with no strong connections or influential background. Although he began his career with little support, Tak Do Il uses his intelligence and understanding of office politics to challenge the bank’s established power structure.
