About the Single "Suki-ish"
"Suki-ish" is the 68th single by the Japanese female idol group AKB48, officially released by the label Universal Music Japan on August 19, 2026.
The title track, with lyrics penned by Yasushi Akimoto, once again features Ito Momoka—a member of the 19th generation—in the center position; she is the first member in 12 years to hold this role for two consecutive singles.
Musically, "Suki-ish" embraces a Showa-era pop aesthetic, blending a retro vibe with modern pop dynamics, while the lyrics explore the uncertainty and hesitation of someone struggling to come to terms with their own shy, budding feelings of love.
