“Hello.
This is your KATSEYE community manager.

The song reveals a softer, more mature dimension of KATSEYE’s sound and offers one of the group’s most emotionally reflective moments to date.
Meanwhile, KATSEYE recently made a comeback with the EP “Wild,” featuring the lead singles “Animal” and “Hootie Frutti.” The group is currently on their “WILDWORLD” world tour, with members Sophia and Manon on hiatus.
This song is special because it was written and produced directly by one of KATSEYE’s members, Lara Raj, alongside songwriters Ross Golan and Amy Allen.
Previously, “Unloveu” was released in limited quantities on August 14, 2026, exclusively as a bonus track on the physical album (vinyl/Target edition) of their third EP, titled WILD. Due to the overwhelming enthusiasm from EYEKONS (the name for KATSEYE fans), the song was eventually released digitally.

Unlike their previous high-energy songs, “Unloveu” showcases a more emotional and gentle side of KATSEYE’s music, highlighting the members’ vocal talents.
The song’s story depicts the emotional journey of someone who is slowly healing from a broken heart and beginning to let go of past feelings.
One of KATSEYE’s members, Lara Raj, wrote this song based on her first heartbreak at age 16. For her, the pain of heartbreak is a universal emotion and a beautiful process to channel into art and music.
The lyrics depict the reality of life after a breakup—which isn’t easy—such as crying alone in a room and reminiscing about moments of arguments (“tissues on the floor,” “slamming doors”). The song captures the inner turmoil when someone realizes their relationship has faded and their ex often crosses their mind.
“Unloveu” showcases a more reflective and mature side of KATSEYE’s music. The song’s profound message is that it’s okay to face pain, but ultimately we’ll come to realize that letting go is the best way to heal ourselves.
