Han So Hee Reveals Her Wedding Plans—Here’s Her Ideal Husband!

ASTON COMICS - Actress Han So Hee opened up about her thoughts on marriage, having children, and the qualities she hopes to find in a future partner.

The actress, who stars alongside veteran actor Choi Min Sik in the upcoming film The Intern, also revealed that if she ever had the chance to work as an intern in real life, she would like to try being an entertainment reporter.

The Intern, starring Han So Hee and Choi Min Sik, is a Korean reinterpretation of the 2015 Hollywood film of the same name, which starred Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway.

The film follows Ki Ho, a senior intern with 37 years of work experience, as he joins Sun Woo's company—a firm that emerged as a dark horse in the fashion industry just three years after its launch. At the heart of the story is the office life shared by two individuals who must bridge the gap in their age and rank.

In the film, Han So Hee plays Sun Woo, the CEO who transformed her company, Wootutu, into an industry sensation just three years after its founding. A hard worker overwhelmed by the demands of her career and personal life, Sun Woo takes on Ki Ho—a veteran retiree from a publishing company—as her intern, and gradually begins to experience changes in her daily life. Choi Min Sik plays the role of Ki Ho.

"I want to get married before I turn 40," she revealed.

Explaining her reasoning, she said, "I don't have fantasies about marriage, but I do have a desire to have children. I want to get married before I'm 40. I once mentioned on a YouTube variety show that my ideal type is someone stable. I want to meet someone who is stable. And since I dream of having children, I want him to be genetically handsome for the sake of our future kids."

Han So Hee had previously mentioned her preference for a stable partner as her ideal type on Lee Young Ji's YouTube channel. She once again joked about her preference, saying, "Honestly, isn't someone who is both stable and handsome what everyone wants?" The actress also shared that if she has children in the future, she wants to spend plenty of time with them personally.

"There are contractual obligations, of course, but if I have a child, I won't work until they start elementary school," she said. "I want to care for my child myself until they begin school. Once they start school, I feel they might be able to do many things on their own, but before that, I want to give my child wonderful memories with their mother. After my child is born, I want to build many memories together."

If she were to become a reporter, Han So Hee said the celebrity she would most want to meet is actress Jun Ji Hyun. She recalled the first time she saw Jun Ji Hyun at this year's Cannes International Film Festival.

"I went to the Cannes International Film Festival this year. Seeing the films 'The Colony' and 'Hope' receive invitations made me proud, even though they weren't my own movies," she said. "That was where I saw senior actress Jun Ji Hyun, and I was stunned. She was wearing a white dress, and she didn't even look human; she looked like a goddess. I greeted her, but I found myself wishing I could speak with her more personally. Her beauty was truly breathtaking."

She continued, "I saw Jun Ji Hyun in person for the first time in my 33 years of life. I really love the movie 'Windstruck,' so it was amazing to see the actress from that film standing right in front of me. She has a goddess-like aura. It made me think that I need to work hard, too."

Meanwhile, Choi Min Sik humorously shared his thoughts on working with Han So Hee for the first time.

"When else would I get the chance to work with Han So Hee? I wonder what kind of good fortune led to me meeting her like this; it’s something I never even dreamed of," he joked. "After all, haven't I worked with plenty of male actors whose faces you wouldn't want to run into on a dark street at night?"

Choi Min Sik also praised Han So Hee's proactive attitude and humble personality during filming. He explained that her strong desire to appear in the film was evident in her approach on set.

"When we were filming together, I could see that she was giving it her all. I heard she had made it clear to the production team—more than anyone else—just how much she wanted to be in this movie. That’s the kind of attitude a highly motivated person brings to a project," he said.

He added, "After working with her, I think she’s really cool and has a great attitude. Honestly, I had wondered if she might be a bit difficult, but she was incredibly friendly."

"He gets along with everyone and treats me well, so I’m actually grateful to him as a senior actor."

The Intern, starring Han So Hee as CEO Sun Woo and Choi Min Sik as senior intern Ki Ho, will hit theaters on September 16.
