PLEDIS Entertainment announced details about the release via social media on October 5 at 10:00 p.m. KST. In the post, the agency also revealed the tracklist for OUR and provided a glimpse into the concept behind Hwang Min Hyun’s latest single.
"OUR" will feature three songs: the title track, "Know You Better," and "Hotline." These three songs offer distinct musical styles but are connected by a common theme of emotions and human relationships.
The “OUR” concept was also introduced through a visual teaser featuring dots that represent various moments in Hwang Min Hyun’s journey. These dots are depicted as a collection of memories and emotions that come together to form the word “OUR.”
This concept illustrates how experiences and the people in a person’s life can leave their mark and shape their journey up to the present.
As the lead track, “OUR” features a mid-tempo pop sound with a blend of guitar and plucked strings that creates a dreamy atmosphere. The song depicts feelings that endure even as time goes on. This theme is a key part of the single’s overall concept, as it relates to feelings that don’t easily change whether toward a person or a specific memory.
Meanwhile, “Know You Better” offers a different vibe. The song is designed to capture that fluttery feeling when you start to develop feelings for someone. Romantic undertones and a sense of curiosity are woven into the story told through this song.
The third song, “Hotline,” takes an alternative pop approach. Unlike “Know You Better,” which focuses on the feelings of falling in love, this song conveys a message about presence and support. “Hotline” depicts a promise to be someone others can rely on when they need a shoulder to lean on.
Overall, “OUR” is a release that invites Hwang Min Hyun to reflect on the journey he has taken. The various experiences and people who have shared moments with him become part of a story that is then woven together under the concept of “us.”
With three songs, each with its own distinct character, this digital single doesn’t focus on just one type of emotion. OUR tells a story about enduring feelings, the spark of attraction, and the commitment to always be there for others.
Hwang Min Hyun’s digital single “OUR” will be officially released on October 7. Fans can look forward to seeing how the singer translates his various memories and personal experiences into the three songs on his latest release.
