ASTON OTONITY – The Rebuild of Evangelion film series concluded in 2021, bringing the era of this legendary science fiction franchise to a close.
Five years later, Evangelion is gearing up for another ambitious project, with the first official trailer now released for the opening chapter of the planned game trilogy.
A unique Evangelion trilogy is coming soon—designed specifically to make fans feel more a part of Shinji Ikari’s world than ever before.
Scheduled for release in 2027 is *Evangelion: Cross Reflections*, the first entry in the XR game series, whose first official trailer can be viewed below.
Evangelion: Cross Reflections is an immersive XR game coming soon, based on the classic anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Created by South Korean developer Pixelity, this game trilogy tells an original story but is explicitly set against the backdrop of the events from the 26 episodes of the 1995 series, with this first entry depicting the events from the first 11 episodes of the series.
Last week, Cross Reflections was showcased via a live demo at an event in San Francisco on that day to be fair, following a delay that pushed the game’s release from 2026 to 2027. The next live demo will take place in Frankfurt, Germany, on October 13, and registration is now open.
Although brief, the trailer showcases many of the things players can do in Cross Reflections as they explore its world, from eating cake to visiting a shooting range and battling Angels.
Of course, they can also interact with their favorite characters, including Shinji Ikari, Asuka Langley Soryu, and Misato Katsuragi.
